November Summary

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! It's been a while since I posted but so much has happened.  Quick recap--

11/14/2014--Newscorp is now the offical owner of Realtor.com.  We'll see what new changes come in searching/marketing/agent selection!

11/17/2014--New HUD Secretary looking to overhaul the mortgage financial system and wind down Fannie/Freddie.  I really hope they are able to get other investors on board to start purchasing mortgages in the secondary market because, well, there's no one else right now except these 2.

11/24/2014--The new California Residential Purchase Agreement came out! Lots of loopholes were closed and the contract was reorganized to be more clear to both buyer and seller on details and expectations.

11/25/2014--Fannie and Freddie Mac ease their buyback policy on foreclosed homes.  This means individuals who were foreclosed on can now repurchase their home at the fair market price rather than the amount that they owe.

11/26/2014--Real Estate search firm SolutionStar (arm of NationStar Mortgage) bought out Title365 for $36M to compete with Zillow.  I'm interested to see what this mashup will look like in the race for more transparent and accurate data.
