It's been great running Cheung Homes, but I've decided to join forces with Movoto Real Estate to help expand their in-house brokerage. I'll still be running this blog to provide info on the local market, but if you need to contact me, my email will be now be jcheung@movoto.com. Same exceptional service and quick response, but now with more support behind me to help even more people.

Construction of 30-home Central Commons affordable housing project in Centerville has started. This is a partnership between the City of Fremont and Habitat for Humanity giving lower income families the opportunity to own their own home in Fremont. Homeowners are selected on their ability to pay, need for housing, and willingness to partner and contribute numerous hours of “sweat equity” into the construction of their home. If you’re interested in becoming a Habitat homeowner, submit a Pre-Application or contact the Homeowner Relations Team at (510) 803‑3344 or homeownerinfo@habitatebsv.org for more information.

Union City is about to adopt an ordinance which will severely limit the circumstances in which a landlord can evict a tenant. This ordinance will apply to all tenant-occupied residential units including condominiums, town homes and single-family detached homes. It appears Union City will NOT be contacting property owners who may be impacted by these restrictions. If you feel you are going to be impacted, contact me for more info!
